A People-First Leader Who Builds Teams, Systems, and Experiences That Scale
I am a people-centered leader who believes that strong organizations are built through clarity, trust, and compassion.
While my professional background is rooted in digital experience, UX, and web strategy, the work I care most deeply about—and the work where I have consistently made the greatest impact—is leading people. I build teams that are aligned, motivated, and equipped to do their best work, and I design systems that allow that work to scale sustainably.
Leadership, to me, is not about control or authority.
It is about creating the conditions where people can succeed.
My Leadership Philosophy
I lead with the belief that:
- People do their best work when they feel safe, supported, and trusted
- Clarity is one of the greatest gifts a leader can provide
- Systems should enable people, not constrain them
- Advocacy is a core responsibility of leadership
- Sustainable success requires both empathy and structure
I am deeply motivated by coaching, mentoring, and developing talent—helping individuals grow into their strengths while aligning their work to meaningful organizational goals.
How I Lead
My leadership approach is grounded in human-centered principles and reinforced by experience leading teams through complexity, change, and growth.
I build teams intentionally
I bring people together across silos, geographies, and disciplines, establishing shared identity, trust, and purpose before focusing on output.
I create clarity in complexity
I help teams navigate ambiguity by defining priorities, aligning stakeholders, and translating strategy into actionable direction.
I advocate for people
I ensure teams have the visibility, resources, and recognition they need to succeed—especially when the work is complex or underappreciated.
I lead with empathy and accountability
I believe compassion and high standards are not opposites. I support people while holding clear expectations and shared responsibility.
I design systems that scale
I focus on building durable frameworks—teams, processes, and tools—that allow organizations to grow without burning out the people within them.
Leadership in Practice
The case studies on this site reflect how my leadership shows up in real-world environments:
Building Teams
I established VMware’s first unified global UX team within the marketing organization—bringing together siloed designers across geographies into a cohesive, high-performing unit.
Improving Decision Quality
I led the creation of a dedicated user research program that shifted decision-making from opinion-driven to evidence-based, improving customer experience and reducing friction.
Leading Execution
I guided cross-functional teams through the delivery of reusable product comparison experiences, balancing speed, rigor, and long-term sustainability.
Scaling Systems
I created a global UX design system that empowered teams, reduced development dependency, and improved usability across VMware’s digital ecosystem.
Delivering Visionary Experiences
I led the transformation of executive briefing center experiences across eight global locations—designing immersive, human-centered environments for senior decision-makers.
Together, these initiatives demonstrate my ability to lead across people, systems, and outcomes.
What Sets My Leadership Apart
What distinguishes my leadership is not a single skill, but a way of showing up.
- I listen deeply before acting
- I lead calmly during periods of change
- I balance empathy with decisiveness
- I focus on long-term health, not short-term wins
- I care deeply about the people behind the work
I believe leadership is most effective when it is human, grounded, and intentional.
Who I’m Looking to Work With
I am seeking leadership roles where:
- People development is valued as much as delivery
- Psychological safety and trust are priorities
- Leaders are expected to coach, not command
- Cross-functional collaboration is essential
- Systems thinking and long-term impact matter
I am open to leading teams both within and beyond traditional UX or web functions, where my strengths in people leadership, organizational clarity, and experience design can create meaningful impact.
The best work of my career has come from helping others do the best work of theirs.
If you’re building a team or organization that values strong leadership, human connection, and sustainable success, I would welcome the opportunity to contribute.
